Grand Celebration of Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Brahmotsavalu Begins at Srisailam
The annual Brahmotsavalu of the sacred Sri Bhramaramba Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple at Srisailam commenced with great religious fervor and devotion, attracting thousands of devotees from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, and various parts of the country. The temple, which is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva and one of the eighteen Shakti Peethas of Goddess Bhramaramba, is witnessing a massive influx of pilgrims during the auspicious celebrations.
The Brahmotsavalu began with the traditional Dhwajarohanam (flag hoisting ceremony), marking the formal commencement of the festival. Temple priests performed special Vedic rituals and homams amid chanting of sacred mantras, creating a spiritually vibrant atmosphere across the temple premises.
During the Brahmotsavalu, various vahana sevas are being conducted, where the presiding deity Sri Mallikarjuna Swamy and Goddess Bhramaramba Devi are taken in grand processions on different vahanas such as Nandi Vahanam, Simha Vahanam, Hamsa Vahanam, and Ravana Vahanam. These processions, accompanied by traditional music, devotional chants, and cultural performances, are drawing large numbers of devotees.
Temple authorities have made elaborate arrangements for the smooth conduct of the festival, including queue management, drinking water facilities, accommodation, medical services, and enhanced security. Special darshan arrangements have been implemented to ensure devotees can have a peaceful and comfortable spiritual experience.
